Accreditation

Bible colleges have the privilege of gaining an exempt status in most states if they operate under the umbrella of the local church. However, to better serve our students, VBC began the accreditation process with the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) in 2014, and Virginia Bible College (VBC) was granted Pre-accredited (Candidate) Status and recognized as a member institution by TRACS on October 24, 2017!

With Pre-Accredited Status and being an official member of TRACS, we had up to 5 years to achieve Accredited Status. Our goal was to accomplish this within 2 years and on November 4, 2019, VBC accomplished this goal and is now FULLY ACCREDITED! The arduous process that began in 2014 has finally come to fruition and we are so grateful to God and the hardworking administrators, staff, and students at VBC for making this possible!

TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA), and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE). To verify our standing or to make a complaint with TRACS, please contact them by telephone: 434-525-9539, email: info@tracs.org, or mail: P.O. Box 328, Forest, Virginia 24551.

NOTE: The nature of VBC is for religious purposes and of course, any degree program increases marketability because it demonstrates a disciplined devotion to a system of study. However, you as a student need to look ahead and investigate what you want the degree to do for you. Likewise, students who desire to transfer our credits and degrees to other colleges, may or may not have success in doing so. It is at the discretion of each learning institute to determine this.
