Bible colleges have the privilege of gaining an exempt status in most states if they operate under the umbrella of the local church. However, to better serve our students, VBC began the accreditation process with Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools (TRACS) in 2014 and we are very pleased to announce that Virginia Bible College (VBC) was granted Pre-accredited (Candidate) Status and recognized as a member institution by TRACS on October 24, 2017!

Granting of Pre-Accredited Status is a testament to the hard work, dedication and commitment of our Board, President, Administrators, Faculty, and Staff. VBC is grateful to all who participated in the site visit and met with the accreditation team. The students were a great representation of the student body and we couldn’t be prouder.

With Pre-Accredited Status, we are officially a member of TRACS and will have up to 5 years to achieve Accredited Status. Our goal is to accomplish this withinin 2 years.

TRACS is recognized by the United States Department of Education (USDE), the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and the International Network for Quality Assurance Agencies in Higher Education (INQAAHE). To verify our standing or to make a complaint with TRACS, please contact them by telephone: 434-525-9539, email:, or mail: P.O. Box 328, Forest, Virginia 24551.

NOTE: The nature of VBC is for religious purposes and of course, any degree program increases marketability because it demonstrates a disciplined devotion to a system of study. However, you as a student need to look ahead and investigate what you want the degree to do for you. Likewise, students who desire to transfer our credits and degrees to other colleges, may or may not have success in doing so. It is at the discretion of each learning institute to determine this.
