WE DID IT!!!
VBC is now Fully Accredited
by the Transnational Association of Christian Colleges and Schools
We know that coming together to fellowship and learn from one another is a highlight of the VBC experience and we really miss being with you. Yet, the health and safety of our students, faculty, staff, and visitors must remain at the forefront. We are closely monitoring the CDC and Virginia Department of Health updates, as well as the State of Virginia’s easement and/or reinstatement of public health restrictions. We will continue to use wisdom as the situation changes.
With the many unknowns about the impact that COVID-19 will have this fall, we want to do our part to help reduce the spread and stop any resurgence of this virus. So, we ask for your patience as we balance these considerations and acknowledge that conditions can change throughout the semester. But for now, our Fall 2020 plans are as follows:
Classes will begin on August 24, 2020.
Since none of our courses require hands-on instruction, all courses will be offered in our approved distance-learning format via Zoom.
The schedule of Fall 2020 classes will be updated by July 10.
Student Services will continue to be delivered remotely and will work toward building connected support services for our students.
VBC will not hold any campus events until it is deemed appropriate to do so by public health officials and even then, we will use caution.
Please remember that the continued health and wellness of our VBC community is a shared responsibility. We are continuing to pray for you and your families and are so very grateful for your love for VBC and dedication to keep our community safe!
COVID-19 UPDATE: FALL 2020 PLANS
It wasn't that long ago that VBC achieved Candidate Status with TRACS and set out to reach Accredited Status in 2 years. We are happy to announce that on November 4, 2019, VBC accomplished this goal! The arduous process that began in 2014 has finally come to fruition and we are so grateful to God and the hardworking administrators, staff, and students at VBC for making this possible!
Class of 2018!
VBC's First Graduating Class Under Candidate Status Membership
It's been a long-time-coming, but after a complete reconstruction of programs and achieving Candidate Status with TRACS, VBC is now able to provide students with degrees and certificates that are backed by one of the largest Christian accrediting agencies recognized by the Dept. of Education and Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA)!
On June 3, 2018, students were able to receive their diplomas with the confidence!
Accreditation Update: Pre-Accredited Status!
Class of 2013! VBC's First Graduating Class
Accreditation Update: Application for Candidacy!
Students could hardly believe it when it was time for them to walk across the stage to receive what they had been working so hard to obtain...their DEGREE! Yes, Virginia Bible College, had its first graduating class during the spring of 2013. What Dr. Grier had envisioned so many years ago not only came to fruition, but it produced a class of Bible scholars who will go on to impact the world for Christ! As the next wave of students embark upon this journey, VBC will be there to assist them both spiritually and academically every step of the way!
My VBC Experience!
Several students have expressed their feelings regarding their experience here at VBC.
"Wow where do I start.... When I heard the call for classes at VBC I knew I had to sign up. I worried about how I was going to pay for college, as my funds were tight, but I pressed pass those thoughts and allowed God to fill both my financial and spiritual void. Sitting under such an anointed Bishop every week is great food for the soul; however, I felt obligated to know more and to enrich my personal relationship with God. I hadn't been in school in over 25 years and I feared being left behind. The staff and students helped me understand how to write a paper and before long I was able to get my work done and fit right in. I am a spiritually enriched VBC graduate and I know if God did it for me he will do it for you. "
I believe that an academic/college experience is a time of discovery, growth and fun. All that and more was my experience during my time at VBC. VBC offer me development of your mind, body and spirit, VBC experience is designed to help you grow as a whole person, ignite your leadership skills and prepare you to impact the world for good. If you are in search of an experience that will prepare you for God’s assignment, VBC is the place. Every aspect of the VBC experience—from classes to our many social fellowship is completely focused toward making you an outstanding leader, an inspiration and a blessing to a needy world. I strongly recommend VBC!!
"My time studying at Virginia Bible College was truly one of the most rewarding times of my life! I not only was strengthened in my understanding of scripture, but my relationship with The Lord was taken to deeper level as well. The teachers were not only academically excellent, but sensitive to the leading of the Holy Spirit. I highly recommend this college to anyone seeking to grow academically and spiritually!"
"Attending Virginia Bible College gave me a fresh and new perspective of looking at the scriptures and how I apply them in my personal life. I attended expecting loads of theological information but also ended up getting a spiritual awakening ,a new hunger for God's Word and vision to begin writing my first book. An experience that is rare in most academic environments even bible schools. This is what sets Virginia Bible College apart from the rest."
“Virginia Bible College gives you a strong Christian environment with all the support working and single parents need to finish their degree. Courses are taught by learned instructors, including the Bishop Himself, with degrees in various backgrounds. We get immersion in the Bible and also opportunity to engage in enrichment seminars on a range of topics including culture, and faith. My spiritual walk has been enriched thanks to VBC staff and mentors. There are engagement opportunities for service ranging from teaching children in Sunday School to mentoring high school students or assisting various community outreach ministries. A number of classes are offered on-line. This gave me an opportunity to stay on board and keep up with the class.
